Marc Dodi (performer)
Marc joined Lapsus Corpi in 2008 as an intern-performer for the restaging of (Dis)Appearing Acts as part of DancEUnion in London.
He recently graduated from Laban with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre, and has taken workshops with members of the José Limon Dance Company and the Martha Graham Dance Company.
During his studies he performed in a work by Henrietta Hale and revived works by José Limon and Louis Murray through Labanotation. Marc has also worked for international festival Dance Umbrella as a production assistant in performances by Compagnie Beau Geste, the New Art Club and Javier de Frutos.
Susanne Mayer (performer)
Susanne joined Lapsus Corpi in 2008 as an intern-performer in the creative process for ShowReel.
Born in Munich, Germany, and having been involved in dance from an early age, she graduated with a BA (Hons) Dance Theatre from Laban, London, in 2008.
During her studies she became interested in dance for screen and created the work …the forest of all the trees…, a dance-film installation that was presented at Laban in June 2008.
As a performer, she has worked with choreographers Vanessa Abreu, Zoi Dimitriou, Julia Gleich, Melanie Clarke and Henrietta Hale. Susanne especially enjoys collaborative works, as she believes that they have the potential to be challenging for the participating artists as well as engaging for audiences in unconventional ways.
Hester Montgomery-Campbell (performer)
Hester joined Lapsus Corpi in 2008 as an intern-performer in the creative process for ShowReel.
She began formal dance training in 2003, after attending Central Saint Martins College of Art and Bournemouth Arts Institute, obtaining a BA (Hons) in Film and Animation Production. She completed a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre at Laban in 2008, and has also trained at the Place Evening School, Birkbeck College and Lewisham College.
As a dancer, she has worked with choreographer Henrietta Hale and with film director Sally Potter, in Orlando, The Tango Lesson and YES, she has performed at Breakin’ Convention 2004 with Impact Dance, and has appeared in Pride and Prejudice. Hester has produced Left of Right for Love as a filmmaker, and has been performing flamenco solos in London.
Recently, she was a mentee to Akram Khan, whom she assisted in the creation of bahok. Hester is interested in making and performing daring work that surprises and defies traditional expectations of dance.
Jarkko Partanen (performer)
Jarkko joined Lapsus Corpi in 2008 as an intern-performer in the creative process for ShowReel.
After initially training in Finland, he moved to England to continue his dance studies and was awarded a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre with distinction from Laban. Between 2008 and 2009 he will be working with Helsinki-based theatre company ‘Q-teatteri’ (Q-theatre), in a contemporary staging of Macbeth and other productions. Following this, Jarkko would like to undertake a postgraduate course in movement studies, to continue performing both in the UK and in Europe, to focus more on improvisation and to develop his own research and collaborations.
Georgios Pispinis (performer)
Georgios joined Lapsus Corpi in 2008 as an intern-performer in the creative process for ShowReel, and will also be performing in (Dis)Appearing Acts as part of DancEUnion in London and as part of nottdance08 in Nottingham.
He trained as an actor at the Drama School of the National Theatre in Athens, Greece, after completing a BA (Hons) in Political Sciences and International Relations at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques d’Aix-en-Provence of the Aix-Marseille III University in France.
In Greece, he worked with directors Giorgos Armenis, Sotiris Hatzakis, Michalis Kakoyiannis and Christoforos Christofis, for productions of the Regional Municipal Theatre of Roumeli, as well as the Hellenic Festivals of Athens and Epidaurus. Currently he lives in London, where he is undertaking postgraduate studies at the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA), focusing on Lecoq-based training, physical theatre and contemporary performance.
